National Empowerment Grant NEG is a Nigeria financial platform approved by the Nigeria Federal government to disburse 2022/2023 grant to all small scale business owners across the nation. on the 17 November it was gathered that the Minister of Finance has approved the disbursement of N150 Billion grant to all the small scale business owners within the country with the whooping some of N500,000 each and must be paid directly into their commercial bank account.

The National Empowerment Grant (NEG) is disbursing the sum of N150 Billion to empower small scale business owners in Nigeria.
NOTE: To be eligible for the N500,000 National Empowerment Grant (NEG), beneficiaries must undergo/attend a compulsory Online Business Management Training (OBMT)
What is a grant?
A grant is an aid given to able body and right-thinking business models to implement or support their business so as to provide cushion to such an individual. Entrepreneurs receive funds for support. Most time, people are scared of taking a grants all in the name of being scared of paying a return or interest on given money because they see grants as loans, or they simply have been poorly informed.
The FG helps fund businesses through a variety of government-backed organizations or agencies including:
- Bank of Agriculture (BOA)
- Bank of Industry (BOI)
- Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)
- Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN)
- Nigerian Export-Import Bank (NEXIM)
- Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN)
NEG aims at providing directions in human capital development and also shielding young unemployed people from economic impact raising the youth.

How to apply for National Empowerment Grant (neg) 2022/2023
All small scale business owners are expected to register for the ongoing National Empowerment Grant NEG through their portal www.neg.ng with the following details.

Criteria for registration of Neg registration 2022/2023
Applicant must:
- Be a Nigerian Citizen by birth.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Should own a physical business
- Must have a valid account details
Categories/Positions for the ongoing NEG registration
NEG has categorized all the beneficiaries in different positions which will enable them benefit. It will also enable them enlarge their businesses in different business sectors. The categories include:
Fish farming
Palm Oil Production
Poultry Farming
Information Communication technology (ICT)
All applicants should select their desire application category before proceeding to training portal to enable a swift understanding of their business sector before disbursement.
Application deadline for NEG registration 2022/2023
According to NEG portal www.neg.ng, the Application will close on the 28th of December 2022. The NEG chairman confirm this date to be suitable for closure of registration to enable them compile applicants data before 2023 which is scheduled for the grant disbursement.

To be eligible for the 500,000 National Empowerment Grant (NEG), beneficiaries must undergo/attend a compulsory Online Business Management Training (OBMT) to profess the said amount before 28th December 2022.
Applicants should pay the sum of N1200 training fee to acquire certificate for grant disbursement.
